I am DW the White County Executive
I began my journey as a county commissioner in 2006. As I was serving as a commissioner I realized a need to go back to school to further my education and better understand the economics and fundamentals of local government. The information I obtained during my years as a commissioner and at my post-secondary education made me feel a need to make change. After graduation I ran for County Executive and was sworn in on September 1, 2014.

I love serving the 27,000 White County residents in all aspects of local government: Infrastructure, Finance, Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Emergency Services, Corrections, and entrepreneurship. In the 2017 I was featured in the Governor’s Conference “Anatomy of the Deal” as well as Highlands Economic Partnership annual meeting for the success with growth in White County’s Economy. It is an honor to serve this great county and its amazing citizens the past 8 year. I will continue to protect and have the counties best interest in my mind at all times.

I am married to the awesome Sheila Robinson and have two wonderful children Danielle Hall, her husband Damien, and Rhett Robinson. Danielle and Damien have two fabulous sons Nolan and Mason which absolutely light up any day. Sheila never fails to support me in the most endearing ways and amazes me each day with her ambition towards the betterment of White County. My son, Rhett, is currently attending University of North Georgia, a military college where he is a cadet! Danielle works for Cunningham Sawmill where she is the office manager and a brilliant employee. Both my children have always had a determined mindset and accomplish anything they puts their minds to. Proud is an understatement for how we feel about our kids.
